Is my cellar destroying my wine?
I have a cellar in the building I live. It's in the basement. It has no windows and it is underground. I thought it would be perfect for keeping some wine. However, recently I bought a temperature / humidity measurement tool and saw that the temperature varies from 4.5°C (40F) to 10.5 °C (51F). Moreover, the humidity ranges from 45% to 65%.
Do you think it's ok for my wine or not? I knew it was a bit too cold, however that wouldn't be too much of an issue if the temperature didn't vary so much. Now I'm worried that my wine will be spoiled.
