wine pairing question
i am going to dinner with my wife's family. they are wine lovers. we are having crab cakes. i am bringing a bottle of 1993 vouvray to drink with the food. i also want to bring a red that will follow that. i was thinking of something light like pinot noir. i found this bottle and remember being told it is a light red and you might mistake it for pinot. came pretty highly recommended. has anyone had it? is it too big? should i play it safe and get a lighter red that isn't a zin?
